Recreation
We have an Activities Coordinator, plus three part – time activities assistants who organise recreational activities within the home Monday – Sunday. A range of indoor activities like bingo, knitting, bowling, exercise classes, arts & crafts and sing-a-longs are held regularly. All residents are encouraged to attend & join in. We also celebrate each residents birthday with a party and delicious home baked birthday cake.
Chapel
We have a beautiful Roman Catholic Chapel to which residents of all faith are welcome to attend. Pre-Covid Church of Scotland services were held fortnightly, although we hope to resume these services.
To enable our residents to look and feel their best we offer a range of accessible services.
Dentist
The community dentist will visit free of charge.
Optician
Vision Care at Home regularly visit the home.
Psychotherapist/ Occupational Therapists
Referrals can be made through your GP.
Chiropodist
A free service is provided by the NHS Chiropodist. We also have a private chiropodist who can be contacted for an additional charge.
Transport
Transport for residents is provided for all medical appointments as we benefit from having a minibus with an automatic tail lift for disabled access, as well as a small car, also suitable for wheelchair use.
Laundry
We have a laundry facility which ensures the residents’ personal clothing is laundered to a high standard.
Hairdresser
We have a trained hair stylist who visits the home twice a week.
